| Dear Linda, |
|
Hope you had a fun Hallowe'en. We had a low-key Hallowe'en night...a short jaunt out trick or treating, and then home to watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown". I'll be sharing my left-over Hallowe'en chocolate on Friday at the Holiday Stamp a Stack (otherwise I'll eat it all LOL). This Friday evening is Hamilton, and I'm also going to be doing another version of the Holiday Stamp a Stack in Mississauga on November 21st, so see below for details. There's still room in both events at time of writing this newsletter.
I'm in the midst of a major computer re-build. My system crashed (badly) and efforts to repair it seemed to make it worse...I ended up having to wipe the hard drive and start all over again. I'm still trying to reload all the programs and recover my files (Thank goodness for online back up systems!!). Here's hoping that I backed up everything I needed... I may be a bit slower than usual in responding to emails, but I will get there...really!!
Check out the new promotions below....and continue watching for your 12 Weeks of Christmas emails!

Technique Corner
|
|
This is an exciting technique that can have the WOW effect on any card or project.
You want to use Brushed Silver or Gold cardstock. It's a great durable cardstock and that's what you want for a Faux Metal technique. Supplies:
Great Stamp Set (Cute and Curly was used in the demonstration)
Embossing Powder (silver or gold)
Punches (if your using a stamp set that can be punched out to use on a card/project)
Technique: Stamp your image on your Versamark pad then stamp on the cardstock. Next cover with your embossing powder. Then, using your heat tool, heat up the embossing powder until it turns to a shiny luster which is what helps to create the faux metal look. Once it's heated, either you're ready to use or you need to punch it out to use on a card or project. |
