| Dear Linda, |
What a wonderful Easter weekend we had around the Burlington area!! Great weather and good family time. Spring is always a rejuvenating time of year for me, and gets my ambitions going. If you have ambitions to be a little more crafty in the near future, read on!!
Sale-a-Bration is gone for another year. Have no fears, though, Stampin' Up! has more specials on offer for this month. May will also mark the beginning of the Summer Mini Catalogue with a number of new items and lots of stamps! There's also still incentive to consider your own Stampin' Up! business. Demonstrators signing up in April will receive the 2 demonstrator exclusive Workshop Wows DVDs. Compiled from Stampin' Up!'s regional events, these DVDs showcase some fantastic project ideas and stamping techniques. Contact me for more information about becoming a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, or RSVP for the Information Evening on Wednesday, April 14th. Unable to make it for the tea & talk that night? We can set up another date to meet one on one if you prefer!

There's more - get 20% off a selection of perfectly springy Two-Step Stampin' sets from our current catalogue. Here are some tips to get you Two-Stepping in no time! Directions:
1) Stamp the base image.
2) Position and stamp the overlay or adjoining image.
Tips:
1) Use lighter ink for the base and darker ink for the overlying
image.
2) Two-Step Stampin' doesn't have to use two different ink colours. Using one ink colour, ink the base stamp, then stamp on a scrap paper before stamping on your cardstock. When stamping the overlying image, ink the stamp then stamp directly onto the cardstock, over top of the first image - you'll get shades of the same colour for a perfectly coordinated look! 3) Two-Step Stampin' can also refer to more than one stamp completing an image - for example, the stem of a flower is on one stamp, the blossom on another. This allows you to stamp a GREEN stem and a PINK flower quickly and easily! Contact me for more information on this technique and promotion! You can also visit my Stampin' Up! website here to purchase your stamp set. |

Did You Know?
| About Crystal Effects....
Crystal Effects should NOT be shaken before use as it may cause bubbles within the liquid, ruining the smooth, glossy effect that is desired. Crystal Effects is an easy way to get a glossy, 3D look without pulling out the embossing powders & heat tool. It will dry in about an hour (depending how thickly it's applied!). It is also a great liquid adhesive.
Store your Crystal Effects tightly capped. I have had some success preventing clogging of the bottle tip if I store the bottle upside down. (Just be sure that the lid is on securely!!) If you're a little leery of this storage position, keep a straight pin close by and use it as needed to unclog the bottle tip. Another tip....you need to cut the tip of the bottle before the first use. (Ummm, ask me how I know this...and how long it took me to figure it out....).
