So sad, we've come to the end of the Deals of the Week. This final deal is a good one - the Heart to Heart punch, item 113694 on page 187 of the Idea Book & Catalogue; regularly $22.95, on sale for $15.99, over 30% off the regular price! You can place your order online here and have it delivered to your door...or contact me to place your order & I'll let you know when it's arrived. **PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS FINAL DEAL IS ONLY VALID UNTIL 11:50 PM (Mountain Time) FRIDAY JULY 31st**
This are some pillow boxes I made back in February. I used the Heart to Heart punch on the red pillow box and backed it with a Window Sheet to give a peek at the candies inside.
Don't delay if you want to take advantage of this great deal!!
Here's some great colour combinations to try that include the new Stampin' Up! In Colours. These combinations feel summery, don't you think? I find that using pattern layouts or colour combination ideas lets me be creative, without having to think too hard (and if you know me, you'll know that I appreciate that!!!).
This week, the Styled Vanilla Hodgepodge Hardware is being offered at over 30% off!! It's a great way to add some style to your projects. The tin holds about 200 pieces of hardware, including decorative and plain brads, ribbon slides (like little belt buckles for your ribbon!), and frames. Don't miss out on this great deal!! Place your online order here until July 27th at 9:50 am or contact me before Sunday July 26th at 6pm to place an order for this great product!
Here's the checkerboard from my CH Morning Live appearance. Great to create on rainy days (which, unfortunately are in the forecast for the southern Ontario area). I took a 12" x 12" piece of cardstock, then used my papercutter to cut 7 slits 11" long (leaving 1/2" on either end), spaced 1-1/4" apart, starting 2-1/4" from one end. I cut 8 strips of contrasting cardstock 1-1/4" x 12" (only because I was too lazy to calculate what they should be...lol). Weave the strips of cardstock through the larger piece, and then adjust the ends & trim to size so you end up with a checkerboard that is 8 squares by 8 squares in size. Adhere the ends of the strips in place and you're done! To create the checker pieces, I stamped the star image from the Stampin' Up! set "Wanted" on whisper white cardstock and punched them out with the 1-1/4" circle punch. Use the 1-3/8" circle punch to create backing circles from the 2 cardstock colours you used. In my example, I used Apricot Appeal and Almost Amethyst. The joy of creating your own projects - you can use whatever colour you'd like!!!
Feel free to email me if you have any questions about this project. Don't forget the new Stampin' Up! Deal of the Week will be revealed Monday at 12 noon EST (or is it EDT??!!). I'll post an update here, but if you're anxious, check www.yamstamps.stampinup.net at noon tomorrow if you want the hot off the press info!
Ever wondered what colour you "needed" to fill that gap in your collection? Or how certain colours actually looked together (outside of your imagination?!). I created a cardstock swatch book for myself & shared it with some customers at my recent Open House. This swatch ring features cardstock samples complete with identifying labels with item code numbers. I've been taking orders and selling them to local customers and will be giving these to all new demonstrators who sign up with my group during the starter kit special promotion - until August 31st. It's a great tool to have on hand!! It includes all 4 Stampin' Up! colour families plus the new In Colours.
Don't forget that my Information Night is this upcoming Tuesday at 7pm - please RSVP to find out more about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The more the merrier - come join our group "The 'Eh' Team"!

Here's the video of my recent CH Morning Live Appearance. Click here if you're getting this post by email or through a reader as the video doesn't show up for some strange reason... The theme was crafts to do with kids, but I also geared it to the "manly" factor as I was working with Bob Cowan, the male co-host, who has a great sense of humour (even if he can't pronounce my last name...lol). More project pics to follow in future posts. I am offering a mobile class in July & August open to adults and/or children - information on the classes page, or contact me if you have any questions.
Thanks again to CH Morning Live for having me on the show yesterday, and if you're new to my site, welcome! Please be sure to sign up for my newsletter (see the box at the left) to get more project ideas and tips in your email inbox.
This is the fun flip flop mini scrapbook that I shared. A cheap pair of flip flops disguises the accordian fold page within. I used the Serif Essentials Big Shot Bigz Die to cut out the letters (or you could stamp them too) and then cut the photos to size. My pages were about 2.5" wide, which is as wide as the flip flops, so you'll need to measure your flip flops to figure out which is the right width. I used 2 lengths of cardstock to create the page above.
I'll post another sample tomorrow so please come back to www.yamstamps.com to see what's new!
