This is the almost finished silent auction basket of Stampin' Up! goodies that I'm putting together for Sam's Day. I've already added a bit more to it, and will include a certificate for a free class for 6 plus a merchandise certificate. Once again, it's for a good cause - raising funds for neuroblastoma research at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. In previous years, Sam's Day has been a carnival-type event, with lots of activities and performances. This year, it's Rock & Bowl, along with other activities and performances, plus the silent auction. That's the reason for the quiet blog this past while... I was at Stampin' Up!'s 20th anniversary convention in Salt Lake City! Convention is a great time to catch up with friends from across the country and north america! Oh...and get the new catalogue and samples and news...
This is the convention bag we got this year - I think it's my favourite one so far!! Of course the contents were fabulous as well - we received three stamp sets and the new catalogue!! Lots of great stamp sets and accessories to be had...

Big announcements at the convention this year - the biggest I think was the fact that Stampin' Up! has teamed with Sizzix and will be offering the Big Shot come September!! Demonstrator preorder has already started....and I'm hoping mine will be here in time for my Retired Rubber sale and New Catalogue Open House on Saturday, August 16th! I will be offering a customer preorder special as well, so be sure to be on my newsletter mailing list for more information (next newsletter is out TOMORROW, Weds August 6th).

Stampin' Up! will be releasing six new In Colours in the Fall/Winter Catalogue. As a demonstrator I was able to participate in a preorder (with a discount, how nice is that?!) these colours so I'm getting to know them... I've really liked this year's In Colours... loooove Soft Sky & Blue Bayou together...*sigh* However, to make room for the new, the current In Colours will be retiring with the Spring-Summer Catalogue, August 10th. To keep enjoying these great colours, be sure you have all the ink, reinkers, cardstock and ribbons you need! (Newsletter subscribers will have seen the info on reinkers and their importance).
