I created this card using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scored tool. You may recall my Christmas card where I used scored lines for a design element. When I revisited the concept for this card, I realized that having the scored lines so the bump was on the good side made them more visible. So here's the result. The leaf image is from the Days of Gratitude set the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny wishes. Always Artichoke, River Rock and Kraft cardstocks were used for this card. Can't wait til March 1st when the Diagonal Simply Scored Plate that fits on my Simply Scored tool is released! (Demos get to preorder in February - woohoo!)
If you are interested in learning more about demonstrator events and being a demonstrator, please attend my no cost Information Evening! Next one is being held Wednesday, February 8th at 7pm. RSVP for directions. If you can't make it that evening, please get in touch with me anyway - we can chat on the phone or make other arrangements. I'd love for you to consider becoming part of my demonstrator group!

I just got back from Stampin' Up!'s Leadership Conference in San Antonio, Texas - I'll be sharing more samples and fun pictures from that in the next few days. I really enjoy being a demonstrator - and if you'd like to be able to earn an income doing something you enjoy, this is a GREAT time to become a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The starter kit price is reduced to $150 - great value and a great start off for your business - plus all new demonstrators will receive either a free package of Designer Series Paper OR a free digital download every month for the rest of the year! You're not locked in, either - you can start with a Designer Series Paper Pack, and the next month, you can select a digital download to use with My Digital Studio software or other photo editing software.
If you'd like more information on becoming a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, browse the information HERE, CONTACT ME or join me at my free Information Evening - the next one is TOMORROW - Wednesday, January 25, at 7pm here in Burlington. RSVP for directions.

Stampin' Up!'s Candy Countdown Calendar is a fun and sweet way to mark off the days til Christmas. The kit comes ready to assemble, so it's a fun family project (both in its creation and it's consumption!!). It's featured in the Holiday Mini Catalogue, and it's also featured in the Silent Auction Basket that I've donated to the Charles R. Beaudoin School Holiday Bazaar, happening this Saturday. I've also included a punch, a stamp set, cardstock and ink, plus some gift certificates....so if you're in Burlington and stop by, please bid on the basket!!
Oh, and shameless additional plug here - don't forget the other sweet treat in the form of a Stampin' Up! starter kit - start your business off on the best foot by getting the business and crafting supplies you'll need for HALF price!! More information here and contact me to sign up online!

I had a great time at the Stampin' Up! Regional Training Event this past weekend in Hamilton. I love that Stampin' Up! comes to us (well, as often as possible LOL) to offer ideas, inspiration and training.
Right now, if you decide to join as a demonstrator, you will receive this Greenhouse Gala tote bag along with your starter kit items (featured in the photo, though your kit won't come packaged like this LOL). This is available until October 18th.
Since I attended the Hamilton Regional event, though, there's a SWEETER DEAL!! If you sign up with MEas a demonstrator before OCTOBER 10th, you'll also receive a free stamp set (on top of the great products in the starter kit!). The set will be featured in the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalogue, so it's a great tool for your business. (Plus, who doesn't like free stamps?!). I can't show you images of the set itself since it hasn't been released...but I can share some very cute projects that were made with it... It's called "Eat Chocolate" (don't you love it already?!)
Love this one...so true in my life...
ahhh...chocolate with a little "bling" too, who could ask for more?! LOL
If you are interested in finding out more about the great opportunity in having your own Stampin' Up! business, please contact me (we can meet over a hot chocolate?!), check out the page here or RSVP to attend my next Information Evening - Wednesday, October 13th** (note changed date) at 7pm here in Burlington. If you're all ready to order your starter kit, I can talk you through the online process!
Three of my downline (demonstrators signed up with my team) were able to attend - here they are - Barb, Melissa and Karen! Since my downline is spread through Ontario & British Columbia, it's always great to have the opportunity to meet up in person. I spent most of the day chatting with friends that I've made throughout my years with Stampin' Up! (I know, you're shocked...me spending time chatting...LOL)
I always take advantage of the opportunity to get my photo taken with Shelli Gardner, co-founder and CEO of Stampin' Up! - since I've been a demonstrator for 8 years now, it's always nice to have a current shot. I'll have to do a scrapbook page of the photos throughout the years, I think!
(It was a little chilly in the Convention Centre, so Shelli threw on her jacket... I was a little less prepared so toughed it out LOL).
Regionals are definitely my favourite Stampin' Up! demonstrator event - they're a little smaller size-wise, but they've still got great inspiration & information. Fingers crossed that there will be another one within driving distance soon!! Hope you'll consider joining my team - then we can make the road trip together?!

I'm off to a friend's demonstrator group get together today. I'm always grateful that Mo has included me in her group - since my original group is in British Columbia. Now that I'm living in Ontario, it's a bit far to go for get togethers.
We're doing a shoebox swap, so we each come up with a prototype card and supplies for each person to recreate it.
This was the first version of my card, using the Stampin' Up! set, Very Thankful. It's the Ronald McDonald House charity set - for each set sold, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to the RMHC.
I liked the card, but felt it was a bit blah. I asked my friend Sue (my original group leader!) to give me some input, so I amended it...
That, and some better editing of the photo lets the card "pop" a bit more, don't you think?
I added a layer of Melon Mambo onto the Rich Razzleberry card base. It's still a clean, simple design, but more substantial. (At least that's what I think!!).
In order to get the design and sentiment separate, I actually cut the rubber of the stamp before mounting it onto the wood. I like the ability to "custom mount" as I see fit!
I've mounted the images on one side. The label shows what's on the other side of the block...
This way, I can use just the images or just the sentiment...
I'm looking forward to getting together with _my_ group of demonstrators in September. If you'd like to be there, please take advantage of the current starter kit specials - which end on MONDAY. See here for more details & to get your starter kit....the password is ehteam. Please contact me if you have any questions.
I don't think I ever posted these pics of door hangers that I did for the Crafting with Kids (which morphed into "Manly Crafting") on CH Morning Live last month. I used the Circle Scissors Plus to cut the hole for the door knob.
My Opportunity Evening is tomorrow - if you're wondering about what is involved in having your own Stampin' Up! business (or how to support your own habit LOL). If you aren't able to attend, but are interested in the information, there's a few options. You could contact me and we can arrange to chat either in person or via technology of some sort at a more convenient time. Or you could visit HERE and watch the videos providing information from the comfort of your own computer screen. Heck, you can even sign up online! Contact me for the password (because I'd really like to at least say "Hi" to my new team members!).
The mini starter kit (pictured at left) and the standard starter kit with bonus (In Colour ink pads & cardstock) are only available until the end of August, so don't miss out on this great opportunity!See the post here for a bit more info I'll also be providing my new recruits with a colour swatch booklet and 30 days free membership to the Business Stampers Group. What a great way to start off a new venture, eh?!
I think I've recovered from my jet lag (was on the west coast visiting family and Mickey Mouse) and I'm looking forward to getting back to my regular posting routine!
Ever wondered what colour you "needed" to fill that gap in your collection? Or how certain colours actually looked together (outside of your imagination?!). I created a cardstock swatch book for myself & shared it with some customers at my recent Open House. This swatch ring features cardstock samples complete with identifying labels with item code numbers. I've been taking orders and selling them to local customers and will be giving these to all new demonstrators who sign up with my group during the starter kit special promotion - until August 31st. It's a great tool to have on hand!! It includes all 4 Stampin' Up! colour families plus the new In Colours.
Don't forget that my Information Night is this upcoming Tuesday at 7pm - please RSVP to find out more about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. The more the merrier - come join our group "The 'Eh' Team"!
