Here's the video of my recent CH Morning Live Appearance. Click here if you're getting this post by email or through a reader as the video doesn't show up for some strange reason... The theme was crafts to do with kids, but I also geared it to the "manly" factor as I was working with Bob Cowan, the male co-host, who has a great sense of humour (even if he can't pronounce my last name...lol). More project pics to follow in future posts. I am offering a mobile class in July & August open to adults and/or children - information on the classes page, or contact me if you have any questions.

This is the fun flip flop mini scrapbook that I shared. A cheap pair of flip flops disguises the accordian fold page within. I used the Serif Essentials Big Shot Bigz Die to cut out the letters (or you could stamp them too) and then cut the photos to size. My pages were about 2.5" wide, which is as wide as the flip flops, so you'll need to measure your flip flops to figure out which is the right width. I used 2 lengths of cardstock to create the page above.

OK...if I've done this correctly, this should post just as I'm going on air on CH Morning Live. I've been fortunate enough to be invited back to the show to share some summer kids crafts. These are two mobiles I created - a butterfly version and a rocket ship version. Both are essentially the same concept - the rockets were stamped in Staz On Black and coloured with the Stampin' Write markers, before being punched out with a circle punch. The butterflies are die cut with the Big Shot and showcase Stampin' Up!'s double sided designer series paper. Super fun & easy!
I'm offering this as a kids class in July & August - Saturday, July 18th from 10 am til noon, and Saturday, August 22 from 10 am til noon. Space is limited. $15 per child, $25 for 2 siblings, parent welcome to stay to assist their child. Click here to reserve your spot for July.

This is a fun circle card that we made at our last club gathering. It features the In Colour Baja Breeze, which is making way for the new group of In Colours in July. From the Occasions Mini Catalogue we used the designer series paper Walk in the Park, the stamp set A Great Friend, plus the oval scallop punch. The cardstock is Basic Grey and a filigree brad holds the card together. You spin the little tab around to reveal the decorated white circle.

I've been invited to teach a class at Sharkey's Cuts for Kids here in Burlington (Appleby Line & Dundas) on Tuesday, June 16th from 4 to 6 pm. It's a great place for kids to get their hair cut - there's videos for the younger ones and video games for the older kids plus "minicures" for the girls and tattoos for the boys afterwards! This is the project we'll be doing that day - a men's style wallet out of paper, with spots for a gift card/cash/photos/note/whatever. (Sorry, you'll have to supply your own gift card, money and photo cut out of a magazine lol! Oh - and hair cut is not included, sorry!). We'll also be making a card, so all together they combine to make a great Father's Day gift!
This class is $15 and includes all supplies, and is open to adults, and children age 7 and up in the company of an adult. This is the almost finished silent auction basket of Stampin' Up! goodies that I'm putting together for Sam's Day. I've already added a bit more to it, and will include a certificate for a free class for 6 plus a merchandise certificate. Once again, it's for a good cause - raising funds for neuroblastoma research at Toronto Sick Kids Hospital. In previous years, Sam's Day has been a carnival-type event, with lots of activities and performances. This year, it's Rock & Bowl, along with other activities and performances, plus the silent auction.
